Bookkeeper / Accountant – Earth Hotels

As a Bookkeeper / Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the Earth Hotels finance team with day-to-day accounting, cash flow management, and financial reporting. You will work closely with operations and project teams to ensure financial accuracy, transparency, and smooth cash movement across the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and update weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor inflows, outflows, and bank balances.
- Perform variance analysis between projected and actual cash flows.
- Coordinate with project teams for upcoming payment requirements.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and reforecasts.
- Support management with variance analysis and reporting.
- Record all financial transactions accurately in QuickBooks.
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L and Balance Sheet).
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany accounts.
- Issue customer invoices and follow up on collections.
- Maintain aging reports and update management on overdue accounts.
- Verify and process supplier invoices with appropriate approvals.
- Prepare supplier payments within agreed terms.
- Reconcile supplier statements monthly.
- Coordinate with bank representatives for routine transactions.
- Perform daily or weekly bank reconciliations.
- Prepare fund transfer requests for approval based on cash flow.
- Assist in preparing management reports and variance analyses.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain proper filing and recordkeeping for all financial documents.
- Prepare and file VAT and corporate tax submissions.
- Liaise with external tax consultants.
- Ensure compliance with relevant free zone and regulatory requirements.
- Support the setup of new entities as required.
- Assist in coordination with free zone authorities and service providers.
- Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly manner to safeguard the health and safety of colleagues, as well as contribute to environmental conservation.
