Our franchise property in Duhok, Iraq is seeking a General Manager to lead the overall operations of the hotel. The GM will report directly to the property’s ownership and will be responsible for ensuring brand compliance, driving commercial results, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

This is a hands-on leadership role that requires balancing franchise brand standards with the unique needs of the local market, while building a high-performing team and maintaining strong financial performance.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for all hotel functions.
• Ensure full compliance with franchise brand standards, policies, and procedures.
• Report directly to the property ownership, ensuring transparency on performance and objectives.
• Develop and implement annual business plans, budgets, and forecasts to maximize ROI.
• Drive commercial strategies in sales, marketing, and revenue management to achieve business goals.
• Deliver exceptional guest service standards and oversee prompt handling of feedback.
• Recruit, train, and mentor department heads, fostering a culture of service excellence and accountability.
• Implement preventive maintenance and asset protection programs to preserve long-term property value.
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, business partners, and the community.
